A website families can trust, and the state can read.
Mattie Mullican is a career special educator and the Transition teacher at Norman High School. Bloom, which Mattie founded, runs Saturday small groups where young adults with disabilities build life skills, explore their interests and make friends. Bloom needed a professional website that sets out its services clearly for state approval, introduces the educator behind it, and shows families it is a community they belong to as well.
We started with three directions.
Mattie chose A Place to Bloom.
A Place to Bloom is the community side of Bloom: evergreen and lavender on warm ivory, soft organic shapes, a photograph of young people laughing together under Grow your skills, Find your people, and separate panels for participants and for their families. The finished site keeps that warmth, sets Mattie's own mission and vision under the hero, and carries Mattie's hand-lettered Bloom logo with its lavender sprig on every page.
